Four Danish ferry operators are bidding for two ferry services that are open for new operators in May and October 2008. The two ferry services in question are the service from Koldby Kaas (Samsø) to Kalundborg, which is operated by Samsø-Linien and the Bøjden-Fynshav service, presently operated by Scandlines Sydfyenske. The four competing bidders are Bornholmstrafikken, Mols-Linien, Samsø-Linien and Scandlines Sydfyenske. The operators are bidding for either both routes or only one. The Ministry of Transport runs the tender. Chosen operators will be contracted in May.
