The PUSAN belongs to a series of ten ships built in 1997-98 by Hyundai, based on a Bremer Vulkan design (BV 4500). All ten were chartered to DSR-Senator (which became Senator Linie in 2000) and Choyang Line (bankrupted in 2001 - the ships were re-chartered by Senator) (Senator and Choyang operated within a same alliance). Two of them have already left Senator in Oct-Nov 2006 to join CMA CGM (renamed CMA CGM ASIA and ANL HONG KONG).
The PUSAN follows the PUDONG in MSC's fleet, She was renamed MSC TANZANIA last month (See related news). A further sister ship, the PUNJAB, is expected to join MSC later on.
