Shipping company Volga Fleet Tanker (part of Volga Shipping Company) has signed a contract with LUKOIL for river transportation of 1.2 million tons of heavy fuel oil to sea terminals, PortNews IAA learnt from Victor Olerski, member of Volga Shipping Company board of directors. The volume of the contract is similar to that of the previous year. Heavy fuel oil is to be delivered mainly from Nizhnij Novgorod and Perm refineries by Volga-Baltic waterway to LUKOIL II terminal in Vysotsk. The rest cargo is to be delivered to Petersburg Oil Terminal (port of Saint Petersburg).
Volga Fleet Tanker numbers 11 carriers with cargo capacity from 3.14 thou tons to 5 thou tons and 25 oil tank barges with cargo capacity of up to 4.7 thou tons.
