Foreign companies seek access to Russian waterways - Ivanov
Foreign transport companies seek access to Russian waterways, Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said according to Interfax.
"They see potential benefits in using Russia's internal waterways," Ivanov told the Maritime Board on Wednesday.
"And we are here today to discuss to what extent we are prepared to use our own water transport arteries," he said.
European companies reaffirmed their interest in gaining access to Russian waterways for opening transport services at the second meeting of the working group for sea, river and internal water transport services within the framework of the Russian-European Union Transport Dialogue, Ivanov said.
