Sea transshipment of Ukraine up 21.5% in January-February 2007

In January-February, 2007, sea cargo transshipment sector of Ukraine (commercial and fishing seaports, industrial berths and specialized companies) handled 23.922 million tons (+21.5%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. Sea transit grew 1.5-fold to 11.189 million tons. Export totaled 67.5 thou tons. Export’s share in sea transshipment decreased to 48.9% (in January-February 2006) to 40.5% (in January-February 2007).  Import totaled 2.618 million tons (+13.1%).
