McAllister Towing and Transportation Company recently celebrated the launch and christening of their newest harbor tug, "Isabel McAllister."
Built by Washburn and Doughty Associates, the tug is a powerful addition to their fleet, designed for demanding operations along the US East Coast, according to the company's release.
"Isabel McAllister" is equipped with two Tier IV Compliant Caterpillar 3516E engines, delivering a combined 6,770 horsepower and an impressive 84-ton bollard pull.
The tug features Schottel SRP 490 FP Z-Drives for efficient propulsion. With capacities for 30,000 gallons of fuel, 4,000 gallons of potable water, and 500 gallons of AFF foam, "Isabel McAllister" is well-prepared for extended operations.
The vessel also includes two John Deere 4045 AFM85 Tier III generators and a 72 horsepower Markey DEPCF-52 towing gear.
The addition of "Isabel McAllister" strengthens McAllister Towing's position as a leading provider of safe and efficient harbor towing services along the US East Coast.
