Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. announced the completion of commissioning and inspection of the stabilizer system for China’s second domestically built large cruise ship, H1509.
The company said the testing was finished five months earlier than the timeline set by the first cruise ship and achieved a 30% increase in testing efficiency.
The stabilizer fin system is designed to reduce hull rolling and improve sailing stability. According to the company, the project team created specialized task forces to develop commissioning technologies, carried out simulations and debugging, and optimized steps from hydraulic pipeline operations to system communication.
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding stated that H1509 has fully entered the final outfitting stage, with overall equipment installation nearly complete. Navigation control, communication, and propulsion systems will begin pre-commissioning in the next phase.
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, established under Chinese law as a limited liability company. It operates shipbuilding and marine engineering projects and has production facilities in Shanghai.
