Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill authorizing the purchase of weapons to guard oil and gas pipelines, the Kremlin press service has reported according to Interfax.
The bill was passed by the State Duma on July 4, 2007 and approved by the Federation Council on July 11, 2007.
