Russia will not be able to meet the terms of the contract to overhaul and modernize the aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov for the Indian Navy, the Sevmash told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
"The plant's general director, Vladimir Pastukhov, was fired over the Indian contract. The contract runs for another three years. A realistic date for the ship to undergo sea trials and be transferred to the Indian Navy is 2011," a Sevmash high-ranking official said.
