Nord Stream considers construction of a port at Gotland (Sweden)

Nord Stream considers the possibility for construction of a port in the city of Slit (Gotland, Sweden). According to RZD-Partner, the port is to be a logistics center for construction of Russian-German gas pipeline.  However the project is not supported by the island population though Nord Stream insists the pipeline does not threaten the Nature or the Baltic Sea. The final decision is to be taken by the Swedish Parliament in autumn. The construction is to start next year.
