In January-June 2007, throughput of Baltic Bulker Terminal (BBT, St. Petersburg) grew by 40%, year-on-year, to 2.3 million tones, press center of Uralkali OJSC reports. In the reported period the terminal handled over 35,000 wagons (+50%, year-on-year). In January-June 2007, BBT loaded over 100 sea-going vessels (+40%, year-on-year).
BBT is the main terminal of Uralkali OJSC specializing in export shipment of potassium fertilizers. The terminal’s capacity is 6.2 million tones, the capacity of its storage facilities is 241 thou tonnes. BBT’s infrastructure is considered to be one of the most developed in Europe.
100% of BBT is owned by Uralkali.
