The Viet Nam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) plans to spend 3.2 trillion VND (200 million USD) on upgrading the Cua Viet seaport in central Quang Tri province.
From now to 2010, as much as 1.6 trillion VND will be set aside for the construction of a 100-ha shipyard in Trieu Phong district that lays to the south of the Cua Viet port.
The company will also spend 1 trillion VND on ecotourism facilities and a golf course as well as 600 million VND on a wharf to accommodate 100,000 tonne ships.
