According to the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing's January to June statistics, industrial logistics value jumped by 27.4 per cent to CNY29.8 trillion, growing 2.2 per cent faster than it did in the first quarter.
Import logistics value went up 13.6 per cent to CNY3.4 trillion, growing 0.5 per cent slower than in the first quarter. Slower growth was said to result from changes in the exchange rate. Agricultural logistics value rose 14.3 per cent. Recycled resources logistics value rose 17.5 per cen. China's national logistics spending also went up 16.2 per cent to CNY1.95 trillion. The growth was 0.9 per cent faster than it had been the first quarter and 1.3 per cent faster than it was in the first half of 2006.
Storage costs rose 20 per cent to CNY640.5 billion, 1.4 per cent faster than in the same period a year ago. Distribution costs rose 36.9 per cent to CNY28.8 billion. Processing related costs increased 29.3 per cent to CNY124 billion. Packaging costs rose 37.5 per cent to CNY27.4 billion.
Logistics industry management costs increased by 10.6 per cent to CNY237.9 billion, 3.1 per cent slower than the growth in the same period in 2006.
