CSAV started a new Marco Polo Service yesterday, with direct calls from the East Coast of South America to South Africa and the Middle East. The shipping line will deploy eight 1,700 TEU vessels on the weekly service. The port rotation for the new service will be: Paranaguá > Itajaí > Santos > Durban > Jebel Ali > Damman > Mombasa / Dar Es Salaam > Durban > Paranaguá. Transit times to Jebel Ali are 27 days from Paranaguá, 26 days from Itajaí, and 25 days from Santos.
