Jinzhou port throughput reaches 17.6 million tons

China's Jinzhou port handled 17.609 million tons of cargo in the first half of this year, reports the Liaoning Daily. The throughput, representing year on year growth of 17.3 per cent, included 207,951 TEU containers, up 51 per cent. Box volume was said to have equalled the amount handled throughout the whole of 2005. Most cargo passing through Jinzhou was provisions, as well as iron ore powder and coal, the report added.
