Within coming 5-7 years, throughput of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport will grow by 50%, Nikolai Rudkovski, Ukraine’s Minister of Transport and Communications announced according to LIGABusinessInform. In view of throughput increase it is planned to build two new container terminals. Besides, three deep-water berths are to be reconstructed. The above projects will enable the port to raise transshipment of cargo.
Commercial Seaport of Iljichevsk is one of the largest ports in Ukraine. It operates from 1961. The port’s facilities make it possible to handle 28.5 million tonnes of cargo.
