Russia produced 381.61bn cubic meters of natural gas in January-July 2007, which is 0.3 percent lower than in the same period a year earlier, the press office of the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry reports according to RBC. Meanwhile, Gazprom's gas production edged up 3.1 percent to 322.24bn cubic meters. The holding's share in the overall gas output went up from 81.7 percent in the first seven months of 2006 to 84.4 percent in January-July 2007.
According to the Russian Federal Customs Service and the Industry and Energy Ministry's data, gas exports to non-CIS countries and the Baltic states amounted to 83.32bn cubic meters, which is 14.4 percent less than in January-July 2006. Exports to CIS stood at 23.49bn cubic meters, which is 2.8 percent less than in the same period in 2006.
