In January-July 2007, stevedoring companies of the port of Eisk increased handling by 33%, year-on-year, to 2.3 million tonnes the press center of Krasnodar region’s transport and communications department reports according to Yuga.Ru.
The port of Yeisk is located in the South-Eastern part of the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov. The port specializes in transshipment of export and import cargo in the direction of the ports of the Black and Mediterranean Sea Basins. The port accepts service-and-river going vessels with a draft of up to 4.5 meters and displacement of up to 5 thou tonnes. The port’s facilities are capable of handling 3 million tonnes of cargo per year. Five stevedoring company operate at the port of Yeisk.
