Baltiisky Zavod to sell $20 mln in ship parts to Indian Navy

Baltiisky Zavod, a state-controlled shipyard in northwest Russia, will manufacture ship components for India's Navy worth over $20 million, the company said Monday according to RZD-Partner.
The plant in St. Petersburg will produce three sets of shaft lines for Project 15-A destroyers, which are currently being built in India, under a contract signed in April 2007. Each set includes two shaft lines and two propellers.
The company said it will deliver the first shipment in 2008, the second in 2009, and the third in 2010.
Baltiisky Zavod specializes in icebreakers, nuclear and diesel ice-class vessels, heavy tonnage cargo ships and warships.
