Jinzhou Ports, a port located in northeast China's Liaoning province, handled 243,000 TEU during the first seven months of the year, an increase of 51.1 per cent year on year, Xinhua reports.
General cargo throughput at the port grew by 17.8 per cent during the reporting period to 20.56 million tons, and included 2.64 million tons of foreign trade, up 31.1 per cent over the same period a year ago.
In July container throughput reached 35,000 TEU and general cargo volumes grew to 2.95 million tons last month.
