LUKoil increased its oil production 3.9 percent to 48.5m tonnes in the first six months of 2007, compared to the same period a year earlier, Russia's top oil company reported according to RBC. Oil exports decreased 3 percent to 21.8m tonnes, with gas production jumping 7.4 percent to 8.3bn cubic meters, including gas production on the Russian territory amounting to 7.1m cubic meters. The company supplied 1.55bn cubic meters of associated gas to gas processing plants.
The company's subsidiaries produced 3.7 percent more oil at 45.6m tonnes, with foreign projects' share rising 8.2 percent, amounting to 2.9m tonnes. Subsidiaries' exports decreased 3 percent to 21.8 m tonnes, compared to the same period in 2006. The cuts in exports were linked to oil processing buildup in Russia and a wide margin.
