Throughput of the port of Tallinn (Estonia) down 4.4% in Jan-Aug 07, y-o-y

In August 2007, Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn, Estonia) handled 2.202 million tonnes of cargo (-40.5%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. In January-August, the company handled 26.536 million tonnes of cargo (-4.4%, year-on-year). In the reported period transshipment of loose cargo fell by 6.6% to 6.583 million tones, oil products – by 4.5% to 15.982 million tonnes. Transshipment of coal slipped by 26%, fertilizers – by 4%. The port increased transshipment of grain, broken stone and scrap metal.
