Throughput of the port of Sillamae (Estonia) to be 1 million below plan in 2007

In 2007, throughput of the port of Sillamae (Estonia) will be 1 million below plan, RZD-Partner reports with reference to the port’s BOD member Margus Vahi. According to the source, the port will not be able to reach the forecasted throughput. Vahi attributes the decrease to very low volumes of railway cargo delivery to the port. In the first half of the year the port handled some 1 million tones of cargo, while the forecast was 3 million tonnes in 2007.
