Russian President Vladimir Putin who has arrived in Vilyuchinsk went to a pier where the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Magadan nuclear-powered submarines are stationed, Itar-Tass reports.
The commanders of the submarines reported to the president on the sub crews’ preparedness to fulfil set tasks. The president asked them about the service and living conditions of the crewmembers and their families.
After inspecting the combat vessels Putin visited the headquarters of the 16th squadron of submarines.
