Jiangsu Dafeng port opens for foreign trade

Dafeng port in Jiangsu province was officially opened for foreign trade on August 28 after two years of trial operation, Xinhua reports.
The new port in Yancheng city, the middle part along Jiangsu's 1,000 kilometre coastline, passed national check to become a first-class port that can accommodate 19,000-tonne vessels.
Dafeng, which covers cargo origins in north Jiangsu, central Jiangsu and the southern Huaihe River region, is the only port in central Jiangsu and the third one in Jiangsu after Lianyungang and Nantong.
