In August 2007, Far Eastern Railway (DVZD) loaded 4.5 million tonnes of cargo, DVZD’s PR Department reports. The plan has been fulfilled to 101.6% (+107.2% against the previous year). The ist of majo cargoes includes coal (1.423 million tonnes), oil products (874 thou tonnes), forest cargo (675 thou tonnes) and import cargo (465 thou tonnes). DVZD increased the loading of ferrous metal (90.5 thou tonnes, or 116.8% against plan).
In the 8-month period the railway loaded 34.9 million tonnes of cargo (100.8% against planand 106.4% against the same period of 2006. The highest results were demonstrated by Vladivostok branch (10.632 million tonnes) and Komsomolsk branch (10.409 million tonnes).
