In January-August 2007, Commercial Seaport of Iljichevsk (Ukraine) handled 10.4 mtof cargo (+5%, year-on-year), the company’s press center reports according to RZD-Partner. In August the port handled 1.2 million tonnes of export-and-import cargo.
In the 8-month period, transshipment of general cargo grew by 6.5%, year-on-year, to 5.7 million tonnes including 2.1 million tonnes of containerized cargo (+30%, year-on-year). Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 13.7% - to 1.15 million tonnes. Transshipment of dry bulk cargo amounted to 3.5 million tonnes including 1.06 million tonnes of grain.
