In January-August 2007, Azerbaijan refineries processed 5.053 million tonnes of crude oil (-2.5%, year-on-year), SOCAR’s press center reports according to information agency NGV. Over 3.173 million tonnes of oil was refined at Baku refinery named after Aliev, while 1.88 million tonnes – at Azerneftyag refinery (Azerneftemaslo).
The refineries’ output includes over 881,000 tonnes of gasoline (+2.9%, year-on-year) including 795,000 tonnes of motor gasoline, some 1.408 million tonnes of diesel fuel (-5%, year-on-year)and approximately 1.576 million tonnes of furnace fuel oil (-6.8%, year-on-year).
In 2006, Azerbaijan refineries processed 7.4 million tonnes of oil.
