Ningbo-Zhoushan volume up 36pc at 6 million TEU to September

Statistics of Ningbo Communications Bureau show Ningbo-Zhoushan port handled 6 million TEU by the end of August of this year, a year-on-year growth of 36 per cent, Xinhua reported.
The port altogether handled 226 million tons of cargo during the eight months, an increase of 13.50 per cent, the report said.
In August alone, Ningbo-Zhoushan port handled 851,000 TEU, rising 30.36 per cent and 29.75 million tons of cargo, up 9.81 per cent, the report said.
