This Tuesday leading representatives of the Far Eastern fishery industry met in the Pacific Institute of Fishery and Oceanography at the round-table discussion chaired by the State Duma vice-Speaker, Vice-President of the faction "United Russia" Vladimir Pekhtin.
As RIA PrimaMedia reports, the main meeting aim was discussion of the industry development issues of urgent importance, development of the mechanisms for State support of fishery enterprises and for control of water bioresources catch. Discussion subject was amendments into the Law "About fishing and water biological resources preservation."
According to Vladimir Pekhtin, fishery is the leading industry of the regional economy. "United Russia" will support the Far Eastern fishermen's initiatives when introducing amendments into current legislation. Therefore it is important to work out by joint efforts the decisions that would provide conditions for development of industry and region.
