Throughput of Donetsk region ports (Ukraine) up 15.1% in Jan-Aug 07, y-o-y

In January-August 2007, the ports of Ukraine’s Donetsk region handled 12.6956 million tonnes (+15.1%, year-on-year), regional State Statistics Department reports according to RBC-Ukraine. Commercial seaport of Mariupol accounts for 11.8 million tonnes. In August 2007, the ports of Donetsk region 1.7379 million tonnes (+6.1%, year-on-year). Major cargoes transported by the ports are metal, clay, fertilizers etc.
