Russian mining and steel company Mechel OAO said Thursday its acquired a key Russian port for an undisclosed sum.
The Temryuk-Sotra seaport is located at the Taman shore of the Sea of Azov, between the Ukraine and Russia. It's primarily used by smaller vessels in Southern Russia, the company said.
Shares rose 70 cents to $50 in midday trading.
