Gazprom to amend Baltic LNG feasibility study
Gazprom's Management Committee has decided to revise a feasibility study for the Baltic LNG project, which involves the construction of an LNG plant and terminal on the Baltic Sea coast, the Russian gas holding's press office reported according to RBC. The company's management was to consider this issue in July, but due to health-related issues of Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller's, the meeting was postponed.
Gazprom intended to determine who the foreign partners in the Baltic LNG project would be only once the feasibility study had been approved. As the gas holding's international operations department head Stanislav Tsygankov stated earlier, there were disagreements within Gazprom as to the project's economic viability and its optimization.
