Ningbo Daxie port area container throughput up 219pc in first eight months

Ningbo Daxie port's container throughput jumped 219 per cent to 473,000 TEU in the first eight months of this year, Xinhua reported.
The cargo throughput of the port area increased 15 per cent to 26.73 million tons, including 17 million tons of foreign trade, which rose 11 per cent, the report said.
Daxie saw its monthly cargo throughput surging 39 per cent in August to a high of 4.13 million tons, including 3 million tons of foreign trade cargo.
