Eurosib GC plans to put its terminal-and-logistics complex Eurosib-Shushary into operation in late 2007 – early 2008, PortNews IAA learnt at a presentation from Aleksandr Gorodetski, managing director of the company’s subsidiary Eurosib-Terminal CJSC. Investments into the project will total $45–50 million. Thepay-back period is to make 12 years. Total area of the complex is 16 hectares including 4 hectares of a container ground with a capacity of 2,000 ТEU. According to Gorodetski, the second phase of the logistics complexes development program will start after 2010-2011. It is planned to open terminals in Samara, Rostov, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk. The first phase of the project will require $200 million. Within the framework of this phase, besides operating terminals Eurosib-Predportovy and Eurosib-Shushary it is planned to open terminal in Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg and Zabaikalsk located at Chinese border. Mikhail Sverdlov, deputy Director General of Eurosib CJSC said the third phase implies expansion to the countries within and outside CIS.
