SCCT signs concession agreement for Phase II of East Port Said terminal development

Negotiations between the Egyptian government and Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) have resulted in the signing of an agreement to launch Phase II of SCCT’s deepwater container terminal.
This new phase will double the capacity of SCCT to 5.1 million TEU. SCCT is strategically located at the Mediterranean side of the Suez Canal.
Since operations began in 2004, SCCT has successfully established itself as a leading transhipment centre for the Eastern Mediterranean.
