In the nearest future, RUR 7 billion will be invested into reconstruction of Sochi port newsru.com reports. It is planned to build new berths for yachts and liners. As of today, the port’s major problem is small water area, absence of berths for deep-water passenger vessels and low capacity of the passenger terminal.
Commercial seaport of Sochi is an important transport hub at Russia’s Black Sea Coast. It has 70-year experience in cooperation with international shipping companies. From 2002 the port is a member of the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports (MedCruise).
