ESC is ready to give discounts for transit cargoes

The Open Society "East Stevedore Company" (ESC) has declared its readiness to give the 30% percent discount for transit cargoes.

It is spoken about in the company's report referring to the general director John Skorties, AK&M reports.

Earlier it was informed, that in January-August, 2007 the volume of transferring of transit containers of ESC has decreased down 67% to 2.7 thousand.

We shall remind that in 2006 the volume of transit cargoes of ESC has decreased in 20 times from 30% from all the volume of containers which are passing through the companies of the East port. It has occurred in connection with the increase of railway and charter tariffs and redistributions of transit freight traffics from ports of the Far East to ocean transport.

The Open Society "East Stevedore Company", created in 2004, specializes on container cargo transferring in the territory of the East port. The company gives the full list of stevedore and warehouse services. It is in joint management of PO Ports and Severstaltrans.

At the moment on the container terminal navigable lines operate: Korean Soviet Direct Line - the joint service of companies FESCO and Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. Ltd (Korea); Chao Yang Shipping Lines (Korea); Dongnama Shipping Co. Ltd (Korea, China); FESCO China Direct Line (China); Japan Trans Siberian Line - the joint service of companies FESCO and Mitsui O.S.K Lines (Japan); Sinokor Merchant Marine Co. Ltd., and also the line of the Open Society "Magistral Highway Container Lines ".
