Mapletree Logistics acquires facilities in Singapore and Japan

Mapletree Logistics has signed agreements to acquire a warehouse in Singapore for S$15.2 million and a distribution centre still under construction in Japan for approximately S$92 million.
Mapletree Logistics Trust Management has signed a Put & Call Option agreement to acquire a five-storey warehouse in Singapore, which will be leased back to the seller for a seven-year period, with an option for another seven years. The transaction includes a proposed extension, which is scheduled for completion around end-2008.
Mapletree Logistics has also executed a conditional agreement to eventually acquire the beneficiary interest of a build-to-suit distribution centre currently under construction in the Kanto region in Japan for around S$92 million. Completion of the acquisition is expected to be sometime during 2008.
