Volume of coal mining in Russia up 0.3% in Jan-Aug 07, y-o-y

Volume of a coal mining in Russia in January-August, 2007 in comparison with the similar period of the last year has increased up0.3% to 199.86mln tons. It is spoken about in the report of the Ministry of the industry and power of the Russian Federation.
For the accounting period the extraction in Donetsk and Kuznetsk coal basins has increased up 4.4% and 4.7% accordingly. The coal mining in Kansko-Achinsky (-13.3%) and Pechora (-0.1%) pools has decreased.
6.6% less of coal, than for the similar period of 2006, 118.2mln tons of coal is delivered to the home market (in view of own needs). From total amount of delivered coal to the maintenance of power stations it is directed 54.7mln tons (88.8% to the level of 2006), on coking - 27.7mln tons (108.5%), for maintenance of the population, agrarian and industrial complex - 14.3mln tons (86.7%).
For January-August to the countries of the far abroad it is exported 9.3% more coal - 57.27mln tons of coal, to the CIS countries - on 27.3-7.38mln tons more.
