Throughput of Murmansk Commercial Seaport up 28% in Jan 08, y-o-y, to 1.17 million tonnes

In January 2008, Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 1,170,806 tonnes of different cargo (+28%, year-on-year), the port’s press center reports. In the reported period the port handled 18,791 wagons (including 15,032 wagons with coal) and 39 vessels. The volume of export cargo handled by the company grew by 29.1%, year-on-year, to 1,122,277 tonnes including 911,500 tonnes of coal, 115,000 tonnes of apatite and 25,000 tonnes of non-ferrous metal.
