Aker Yards said it has been awarded an 80 mln eur contract by Greenland's Royal Arctic Line to build two ice-going container ships for operations in the Arctic.
The ships will be specifically designed for traffic between ports in Greenland and other transatlantic destinations, the Norwegian shipbuilder said.
Delivery is scheduled for the the second and third quarters of 2010, it added.
