Macquarie Infrastructure Partners said on Monday it planned to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Halterm Ltd. , giving the massive conglomerate a container terminal and cargo handling facility in the Port of Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Reuters reports.The companies said the deal, valued at about C$172.8 million, will see Halterm's income trust fund redeem all of its outstanding trust units for approximately C$19.00 per unit in cash, after the retirement of existing debt and costs incurred by the fund relating to the transaction ($1=$1.13 Canadian).
