Net loss of Zvezdochka Shipyard (Arkhangelsk) for the 2011 period, according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) totaled RUB 834,600 versus the profit of RUB 89,250 a year earlier, the shipbuilding firm said. The shipyard revenues shrank by 32.2 percent year-over-year, to 18,09 thousand rubles.
Severodvinsk-based Shipbuilding Center ‘Zvezdochka’ is a diversified enterprise specializing in ship building and repairs, construction of offshore platforms and manufacturing of different types of propellers. The firm is majority owned by Northern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center, part of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation.
