Rolf SCS makes exclusive deal with Petrolesport OJSC on delivery of foreign cars

Transport-and-logistics company Rolf SCS (part of Rolf Group) has confirmed acquisition of exclusive rights for delivery of new passenger automobiles to St. Petersburg via PetroLesPort terminal, the company’s press center informs. The above right is provided for 5 yars.

After delivery of the first batch of 500 cars to the terminal under new agreement, Rolf SCS Director Steven Fletcher said that delivery of cars to Russia is one of the priorities for foreign manufacturers and everyone understands that lack of port facilities is a “narrow place” in the process. The new deal provides Rolf SCS and its customers with a high-quality and well managed canal to Russia to be used for quite a long time.

Rolf SCS believes the terminal’s capacity will make some 200,000 cars by 2009. As of today the terminal may store 2,000 automobiles. A 3,000-car ground is to be put into operation in several months. Customs clearance is to be carried out at the port’s territory, which is to raise the terminal’s attractiveness for manufacturers.

According to Steven Fletcher, the agreement will enable Rolf SCS to raise the amount of imported cars. Last year the company purchased customs terminal Elite-Trans having reinforced its positions at St. Petersburg market in terms of automobile delivery.
