Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has called for change of environmental responsibility system in the country, Itar-Tass reports.
“It is necessary to revise the system of environmental responsibility. It may be more rigorous at some points. If, on the contrary, we believe that norms of responsibility are detached from the life, they should be adjusted,” the president said at a meeting on environmental and energy effectiveness of the economy on Tuesday.
Medvedev stressed that the “main thing in juridical responsibility is its inevitability”.
A Finnish company has got a Russian state order on the upgrade of roads on the Kola Peninsula. In the course of 2008, the company is to reconstruct more than 150 km of regional roads.
The company, the name of which remains unknown, will bring all necessary equipment from Finland.
The first part of the road upgrades is to be completed by the end of September, Murman.ru reports with reference to Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
