Torstein Dale Sjøtveit has been appointed the new President and CEO for Aker Yards.
Sjøtveit comes from Norsk Hydro, and brings strong international management experience. He will start in his new position with Aker Yards by September 1st at the latest.
Mr Sjøtveit has held a number of key management positions in Hydro since 1981, both in oil and gas activities, within polymers and petrochemicals, industrial maintenance and other parts of the company's international business.
He has lately held the position of President of Hydro Aluminium Metals, Hydro's upstream aluminium business with operations in 13 countries, 5,000 employees and revenues of NKr 60 billion.
