In January-May, 2008, the terminals of National Container Company handled 725,413 TEU (+20.5%, year-on-year), NCC reports.
In the reported period, container throughput of First Container Terminal (St. Petersburg) totaled 441, 225 TEU (+14.7%, year-on-year). In May it handled 90,855 TEU (+11.3%, year-on-year). Export amounted to 43,458 TEU, import – 47,397 TEU. Turnover of refrigerated containers made 11,707 TEU (+25% against May 2007).
In May the terminal handled 68 vessels with average turnover of 1,336 TEU per vessel.
Container turnover of Nodal Transporting and Forwarding Company of Novorossiysk totaled 57,935 TEU (+7.2% against January-May 2007). In May the terminal handled 6,561 TEU (-45.5%, year-on-year). In May the terminal exported 3,439 TEU, imported – 3,122 TEU. Loaded/empty containers ratio was 59% against 41% respectively. In May the terminal handled 5 vessels with average turnover of 1,312 TEU per vessel.
In the 5-month period, container throughput of Ukrtranscontainer (Iljichevsk, Ukraine) amounted to 226,253 TEU (+38.7%, year-on-year). In May the terminal handled 46,953 TEU (+41.7%, year-on-year). In May the terminal exported 24,983 TEU, imported – 21,970 TEU. Loaded/empty containers ratio was 57% against 43% respectively.
