East Siberian River Shipping expects 11% more cargo in 2008

East Siberian River Shipping Company expects an 11 per cent increase in cargo to 2.2 million tonnes due to the settlement of the Irkutsk Region requiring more gravel and construction materials.
In 2007, the company delivered about 2 million tonnes of cargo. The share of construction cargo in the structure of cargo traffic totalled 55 per cent. The company currently owns 20 tug motorships and 50 dumb scows, Russian Transport Daily Reports according to RZD-Partner.
