Vyacheslav Ruksha has been appointed as Acting Director of Atomflot FSUE

On June 6 Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko appointed Vyacheslav Ruksha as Acting Director of Atomflot FSUE.

The President of Russia has decreed to include Atomflot FSUE in the list of companies to be owned by Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation on behalf of the Russian Federation. In late Aug 2008 Atomflot FSUE will be given control over all the nuclear icebreakers of Russia: Lenin (1959), Arktika (1975), Siberia (1978), Russia (1985), Taymyr (1988), Soviet Union (1988), Vaygach (1990), Yamal (1992) and 50 Years Since Victory (2007).

Vyacheslav Ruksha was born on February 17, 1954 in Grodno (Byelorussia). In 1976, he graduated from the high engineering naval school called after Makarov. Five years later he was awarded the bronze metal of the III category of USSR VDNKh.  In 1990, Vyacheslav Ruksha was appointed the head of a training center of nuclear fleet in St. Petersburg. From 1994, Vyacheslav Ruksha is a technical director of nuclear fleet of Murmansk Shipping Ccompany. In 1999, he became the Director General of Murmansk Shipping Ccompany. In 2000 was appointed first deputy Minister of the RF Ministry of Transport.
